Born in France in 2005, Mathieu Gimenes joined the École Nationale de Danse de Marseille in 2019, under the direction of Omar Taiebi. During his training, he worked with numerous rehearsals assistants and teachers such as Carole Gomes, Agnès Lascombes, Paolo Franco, Solène Hérault, Guillaume Siard. He also performed works from the repertoire of Angelin Preljocaj, (LA)HORDE, Julien Lestel, and Michel Kelemenis, further developing his artistic sensitivity and technique. In 2025, he earned his completion certificate from the École Nationale de Danse de Marseille, before joining Ballet Preljocaj Junior in September of the same year.
