Born in Norway in 2004, Annika Jarstadmarken trained at the Norwegian National Ballet School as well as at the Norwegian Ballet Institute. In Oslo, she worked with choreographers Hege Haagenrud, Kristin Hjort Inao, Matias Rønningen, Jeffrey Carter and Melissa Hough. She moved to the Netherlands where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2025 from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. During her studies she performed in projects collaborating with the Netherlands Dance Theater. She worked with current and former NDT dancers on pieces by Crystal Pite, Jiří Kylián, Hans van Manen, Ohad Naharin, Marco Goecke, Nadav Zelner, Nils Christie, Jon Bond, Aya Misaki and, Didy Veldman. She joined Ballet Preljocaj Junior in September 2025.
