AS PART OF THE RENCONTRES DES BALLETS JUNIORS EUROPÉENS
A WEEK OF GATHERINGS AND SHOWS TO SHOWCASE THE DIVERSITY AND EXCELLENCE OF THE MAJOR DANCE SCHOOLS AND JUNIOR BALLETS FROM ACROSS EUROPE.
The Ballet Preljocaj Junior enthusiastically takes on this cult piece by Angelin Preljocaj which, 26 years after its creation at the Festival d’Avignon, has not lost any of its dramatic intensity. Bright and unusual, it is constructed through opposition between the travelling writer Joseph Conrad, author of Heart of Darkness, and the artist Marcel Duchamp, father of the concept “readymade”. Two powerful approaches to art!
