Ballet Preljocaj Junior

Integration of young choreographic artists

The Ballet Preljocaj Junior is an innovative project in the field of dance, the result of discussions with the National Choreographic Centres/Ballets – Malandain Ballet Biarritz, Ballet du Rhin, Ballet de Lorraine, Ballet National de Marseille and Ballet Preljocaj. It is modelled on systems already in place in the theatre (JTN) and music (Jeunes Orchestres) sectors. This unique scheme aims to facilitate the integration of young artists into professional life and offer them in-depth technical mastery.

Each year, the Ballet takes on twelve young apprentice dancers, chosen after a pre-selection process and then an audition, as part of European and international higher education programmes. They are invited to tour with the Ballet Preljocaj, to perform works from Angelin Preljocaj’s repertoire and to take part in a creation with the associate artist.

Recruitment procedures

The Ballet Preljocaj Junior will recruit dancers aged between 18 and 21, currently studying at a professional training college between February and April 2025, for the next promotion 2025/2026.
