Adel El shafey is self-taught. He was a performer for the Alexandra N'Possee company and founded his company Le Scribe in 2015, later joined by his collaborator Maëlle Deral. Hip-hop culture and contemporary dance influence his choreographic research. In his pieces, which tackle subjects touching on the human, bodies are vectors of ideas, images and symbols.
Adel El Shafey presented his creation, Logos, on 09 October 2015 at the Théâtre du Pavillon Noir. He also presented his creation, Yalla, my friends, on 09 and 10 February 2023 at the Théâtre du Pavillon Noir.
