Emotion, beauty, virtuosity, Angelin Preljocaj’s triad is once again intrinsic to his next creation. The choreographer imagines a tribal piece, a group dance capable of evoking intimate things that speak to everyone, because while dance can’t change the world, it does have the power to touch people.
A leading figure on the contemporary scene since the creation of his company in 1985, Angelin Preljocaj has choreographed close to 60 pieces. He regularly teams up with other artists: musicians, designers, fashion designers, illustrators... He alternates between abstract and radical projects and narrative ballets such as Snow White or Swan Lake. He also makes films, and was recently elected to l’Académie des Beaux-Arts.
